fleur de springtime

a pretty poem with sweet words that i just found tonight.... its called,

"The Wait"

It seemed
like years
I picked
a bouquet
of kisses
off her mouth
and put them
into a dawn-colored vase

the wait
was worth it.

in love.

the fullness of God

"Then Jesus shouted out again, and he released his spirit.
At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom.
The earth shook, rocks split apart, and tombs opened...
And they said, This man truly was the Son of God!"
 Matthew 27:30

Oh that you would burst from the heavens and come down!
How the mountains would quake in your presence!
As fire causes wood to burn and water to boil,
your coming would make the nations tremble...
For since the world began,
no ear has heard,
and no eye has seen a God like you,
who works for those who wait for Him!
Isaiah 64:1-4

my senior exhibition....

from top to bottom:
"Deep Calls to Deep"
"Winter Storm"
"Autumn Leaves"
"The Storm"

i like these words...

"Take bread away from me, if you wish,
take air away, but
do not take from me your laughter.

Do not take away the rose,
the lanceflower that you pluck,
the water that suddenly
bursts forth in your joy,
the sudden wave
of silver born in you.

My struggle is harsh and I come back
with eyes tired
at times from having seen
the unchanging earth,
but when your laughter enters
it rises to the sky seeking me
and it opens for me all
the doors of life.

Next to the sea in the autumn,
your laughter must raise
its foamy cascade,
and in spring, love,
I want your laughter like
the flower I was waiting for,
the blue flower, the rose
of my echoing country.

Laugh at the night,
at the day, at the moon,
laugh at the twisted
streets of the island,
laugh at this clumsy
boy who loves you,
but when I open
my eyes and close them,
when my steps go,
when my steps return,
deny me bread, air, light, spring,
but never your laughter
for I would die."
