The Advent Conspiracy
with the beginning of this wonderful holiday beginning I wake up this morning with a deep and very settled feeling that this one is going to be different.
this is going to be a Christmas filled with intentionality, with charity and true giving.
The advent season is a time to remember and worship the God who loved us SO very much that he sent his son to live, suffer and die so that we may be given full and eternal life.
It takes a lot of reminders to forget that all of the presents, and gifts aren't what its about.
Its about sharing the love of God with the world.
I read last night that the Lord has given us each such specific personalities, gifts, lives and friends and has a definite purpose for each of us, whether we are talented in the worlds eyes or not.
so, lets dive into that idea and allow the Lord to really use each of us uniquely, for we are each specifically burdened and broken for those hurting in this world.
instead of simly feeling burdened and broken for these people, lets make our small step to change lives, lets give and stop desiring to get.
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 19 In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.
